Leaf Peeping at High Hampton
One of the most beatuiful seasonal delights at High Hampton is enjoying a front row seat to the vibrant Fall foliage as the leaves shift from green to captivating reds, oranges and yellows. At an elevation of 3,484 feet, Cashiers’ prime leaf viewing window is mid-October. The weather is cool in the morning and evening, but the afternoon sun warms the Highlands and makes the leaf colors shine on the ridgeline!
While some of the prominent trees on our property are evergreens, the lawn provides a lovely spot to enjoy the changing leaves of the weeping beech trees and yellow locust trees. We also recommend taking advantage of our vantage points and taking in the seasonal scenery from the top of Rock Mountain and Chimney Top Mountain.
If you’re ready to truly engulf yourself in the beauty of Fall, head out on the hiking trails and get an up-close view of the wonders of nature as the season turns. Everywhere you look, something will catch your eye during Fall at High Hampton. See it first-hand in 2021 with an October visit. Fall is waiting!
