Whether it’s your own memory of a hike or splashing in the lake, or you remembering older relatives reminiscing about long-ago holidays with friends and family, we would love to capture and share your dearest stories of this special place. Describe your favorite High Hampton memories below.
Share Your MemoryIn 2014, at the family games on July 4th, our daughter and son-in-law, Molly and Jamie Hargather, And 2 year old son, Hammond, won a blue ribbon in the family games canoe race after leading the race and crashing into the dock! No casualties, but different looks on everyone’s faces!
We got married there, on the most perfect October day in 2013.
Love my grandchildren learning to play golf at High Hampton. This was taken on #8, our signature island hole, in 2001. These are 12 of our 15 grandchildren - the other three weren't born yet! Back row, left to right: Patricia Stutts, Billy Hereford, Madelyn Hereford, Mark Drew Jr., Mallie Drew, Phillip Stutts Jr., Caroline Drew and Patrick Hereford. Front row, left to right: Faulkner Hereford, Tillman Drew, Emmie Stutts and Mac Hereford. We all cherish the wonderful memories we have shared at High Hampton.
This fond memory was, at the family Olympic Games on July 4th, 2011, the HAWGS (Hargathers, Allens, Wills, and Greens family) won first place!
My parents had a summer home in Hampton Forest and I have WONDERFUL memories of going on hayrides, going to Betty Lu Brunson’s Equitation School and working on the Children’s Program and being a waitress at the Inn. I made life long friendships during those amazing summers!!!!
