Leaf Peeping Season at High Hampton
One of the most anticipated annual delights at High Hampton is enjoying a front row seat to some of the South’s most vibrant Fall foliage. At an elevation of 3,484 feet, Cashiers’ prime leaf viewing window is mid-October, but its unique geographical location gives the region one of the longest lasting foliage seasons in the country, guaranteeing beauty no matter when you visit.
One of the many complimentary activities included in a stay at High Hampton is access to miles of the resort’s private hiking trails. During your hike, we recommend taking advantage of our unique vantage points and taking in the seasonal scenery from the top of Rock Mountain and Chimney Top Mountain.
If you’re looking for a more restful way to enjoy leaf peeping, the Event Lawn provides a leisurely spot to enjoy the changing leaves of the weeping beech trees and yellow locust trees from the comfort of a daybed.
No matter how you spend your day basking in the joy of Fall, there’s no better way to wind down than a meal in the Dining Room and a friendly fireside board game competition in the lobby.
