January 26, 2022 Red Clay Hot Sauce Bloody Mary
A Bloody Mary is not relegated to just vodka and Bloody Mary mix. The High Hampton beverage team wanted to create something simple, yet add a little spice to this classic cocktail. By adding a little flavor, this cocktail can be enjoyed all season long.

Bloody Mary Mix, makes 1 quart
Combine the following ingredients to make the Bloody Mary mix. It will make one quart.
- 1 28oz can peeled tomatoes
- 1.5oz lime juice
- .5oz lemon juice
- 1oz Worcestershire sauce
- 1oz Red Clay Hot Sauce
- .5oz cornichon pickle brine
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 Tbsp horseradish
Directions
As an optional first step, we like to smoke our tomatoes for an hour.
Add can of tomatoes to a blender and blend until smooth. Pour tomatoes into a secondary container and add the 2oz of vodka and the Bloody Mary mix. Mix well, taste and adjust salt and hot sauce as needed. This makes a mildly spicy mix, but if you want it spicier just add more Red Clay Hot Sauce. Build ingredients into a tall glass with a half salt rim. Garnish with a Castelvetrano olive, lime wedge and cornichon.
This keeps well in the fridge for up to seven days.
