Winter Letter from the General Manager
A seasonal note from the Inn's General Manager, Stephen McLean
Hello from High Hampton!
The Winter season is an especially enchanting one here in Cashiers. With sparkling holiday decorations across property and fun festivities for the whole family, I’m always amazed by what this season has to offer. This Winter at High Hampton, we’re excited to share:
Traditions in the Kitchen: I always try to take time to pause and remember what I’m grateful for during the stillness of Winter. The holidays also offer a great opportunity to reflect on memories and create new ones. In the spirit of the season, Pastry Chef April Franqueza has shared a few traditions that she looks forward to during the holidays.
Festive Holiday Agendas: If you want to feel the holiday spirit all December long and ring in the new year in style, there is no better place to be than High Hampton! Let us make your holidays extra special with delicious menus and exciting activities throughout the season.
The Great Outdoors: I’m always stunned by the natural beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains, but the expanded views we get during Winter are especially mesmerizing. Winter is the perfect season to breathe in fresh mountain air and discover gorgeous sites across our private hiking trails!
Special Events with Guests: From diving into the game of Mah Jongg with expert instructor Dana Lange to exploring all things art and culture with the Artist Collective, join us during select Winter Weekend Getaways to enjoy the best parts of the season alongside exciting guest personalities.
Celebrating community and spending time together are some of the greatest gifts Winter brings. As we think about the camaraderie and connection of holiday celebrations, our thoughts remain with all those impacted by Hurricane Helene.
I’m looking forward to experiencing the magic of the season together at the Inn!
Sincerely,
Stephen McLean
