We had the most amazing trip to High Hampton. I hope to make it a new tradition for my family. Loved watching my children ahead of me walk up to dinner with their navy jackets and freshly pressed dress. High Hampton is a magical place that makes you slow down and remember what is truly important - family.
I took a summer internship at High Hampton during the summer of 2014. I did it all - from serving to front desk, bartending to babysitting and bingo. I knew nothing of the area and found the internship completely randomly while getting my hospitality degree in Michigan. While there, I felt like I was working on the set of Dirty Dancing - like stepping back in time. I developed a summer crush on one of the bellmen there and here we are... five years later, celebrating our fourth wedding anniversary and we welcomed our first child earlier this year. High Hampton brought me the love of my life and we can’t wait to show our son where we first met and fell in love.
60 years of memories for me and about 85 for my mom. Hope to return to make many more!
My mother and I began vacationing at High Hampton when I was 4 years old and came back year after year. Those vacations were some of the best memories of my childhood. Every year it just so happened that we would be there the same time as an archbishop. Neither my mother or I can remember his name but every year as a child he would sit and play checkers with me on the porch. Thinking back now, I’m pretty sure he let me win all those games! High Hampton was an amazing respite from the world, filled with tea times and hikes through the woods, fancy dinners with gorgeous desserts as far as my little eyes could see. There was also that one time the chef offered to cook me up any fish I caught in the lake! It’s no wonder I had to get married in a place that held so many wonderful memories and that too was beyond anything I could have imagined! I can’t wait to bring my children to my favorite place on earth!
